Bathampton Art Group was established in 1968 by local artist Jack Bryant.
What began as a small social group has grown and developed into three groups meeting on Monday afternoons (2-4pm), Monday evenings (7-9pm) and Thursday mornings (9:30-12 noon) at Bathampton Village Hall.
Regular group sessions are complimented by demonstrations of different styles and techniques run by visiting artists.
The collective group now has nearly 100 members who create in a variety of medium across a wide range of subjects and styles. New members are always welcome!

The Spring Exhibition is the major public event for Bathampton Art Group, with all three groups coming together as a single collective of local artists to showcase their work.
More than 120 pieces of art are exhibited and include landscapes, seascapes, portraits, animals and still life in a variety of medium including oils, acrylics, mixed media, pastels, and pencil/graphite. The entries are independently judged with visitors asked to nominate their favourite picture of the show..
The event attracts a substantial amount of interest within Bathampton but also from Bath and the surrounding area and is a popular part of the local art calendar.
The following pictures were created by our group members. Whilst this is only a representative sample of the whole membership it does represent the quality and creativity of our wider group well.
Please note: Copyright for each artwork is retained by the artist and may not be used or reproduced without their permission.
