About us

Bathampton Art Group was established in 1968 by local artist Jack Bryant.

What began as a small social group has grown and developed into three groups meeting on Monday afternoons (2-4pm), Monday evenings (7-9pm) and Thursday mornings (9:30-12 noon) at Bathampton Village Hall.

Regular group sessions are complimented by demonstrations of different styles and techniques run by visiting artists.

The collective group now has nearly 100 members who create in a variety of medium across a wide range of subjects and styles. New members are always welcome!

2026 Spring Exhibition

The Spring Exhibition showcases the work of all three groups.

More than 120 pieces of art are exhibited by our members, with many available to buy.

Subjects include landscapes, seascapes, portraits, animals and still life in a variety of medium.

The entries are independently judged.

Entrance is FREE and Coffee and cakes are available along with a prize draw.

Spring Exhibition

The Spring Exhibition is the major public event for Bathampton Art Group, with all three groups coming together as a single collective of local artists to showcase their work.

More than 120 pieces of art are exhibited and include landscapes, seascapes, portraits, animals and still life in a variety of medium including oils, acrylics, mixed media, pastels, and pencil/graphite. The entries are independently judged with visitors asked to nominate their favourite picture of the show..

The event attracts a substantial amount of interest within Bathampton but also from Bath and the surrounding area and is a popular part of the local art calendar.
