END OF SPRING TERM COMPETITION

Our topic for this term's project was 'Sunrise/Sunset' - we had 25 paintings all featuring sunrise or sunset. Rachel Moya Williams, who led us in a watercolour workshop last month, came in to judge. She commented on the high standard of the work and found it very difficult to choose a winner and runner-up, but she finally settled on paintings by Trevor (winner) and Kay Jane's (runner-up) - keeping it in the family!

DEMONSTRATIONS AND WORKSHOPS FOR THE SPRING TERM

19th February - Steve Hall
will be doing a demonstration of a pastel painting on the subject of Sunrise/Sunset. Note that this is purely a demo so you will not need to bring any materials - a nice relaxing afternoon watching someone produce something lovely!

25th March - a mixed media workshop with Soraya French. This is a bit of a coup for us (thanks to Sheila!) as her workshops are booked up for months in advance and usually cost around £180 per person per day to attend! This will be an extended hands-on session running from 1.30 - 5.00 pm. Please let me know if you're interested and haven't already signed up.

20th May - Rachel Moya Williams will lead a practical watercolour workshop on the subject of Bluebell Woods.

Our topic for this term's project will be 'Sunrise/Sunset' and we're hoping that Steve Hall will be able to come back to judge our efforts on 10th June.
