I have been painting on and off throughout my life, though it took a back seat whist I was working full time and bringing up my family. I joined Bathampton Art Group in 2015 and enjoy having those 2 hours per week set aside for
painting. I have dabbled in many different media over the years but I now work mostly in water-based media, particularly solid and powdered inks. I like these for their colour vibrancy and translucence. They are also colourfast and permanent once dry - a challenge as I need to work fast so I can achieve watercolour effects. My favourite subjects are animals and birds.
